Collectively, these gracious donors offered 1,461 inches of hair to be donated for a child in need. “It is truly unbelievable”, says Ricky Booth, Big Boss of the Silver Spurs Rodeo. “It was wonderful that we were able to collect so much hair this year, it is definitely a tradition to keep”, Booth continued.

Prior to the first bucking bull, hair cut by the stylists from Double J Salon & Spa were in the center of the arena floor to make the first cut. Tons of more supporters of this cause joined in the Cuttin’ by visiting the temporary salon in place on concourse at the Silver Spurs Arena throughout the whole weekend.
“We couldn’t be more thankful”, said Lisa Johnson, Owner of Double J Salon & Spa. “We were amazed at the amount of donors that came to the rodeo just to donate their hair, and even more about the people that just decided that evening to cut their hair”, Johnson continued.
