Ms. Emily Moore, 20
years old from St. Cloud, will follow many traditional
footsteps dating back since 1960, as a Miss Silver Spurs
Queen. Emily Moore, the daughter of Tim and Mary Jane
Moore, attends Brevard Community College and enjoys anything
to do with horses and loves to volunteer with children
activities. Emily is also the proud winner of the
Horsemanship Competition; the contestants must compete on
horseback by running defined patterns and proving their
knowledge and skill towards the sport of rodeo. Miss
Photogenic was also awarded to Emily, an award presented by
the pageant photographer.
Serving on this year’s court includes 1st
Runner-Up Shannon Dore from St. Cloud and 2nd Runner-Up Megan Talbo from
Kenansville. As the rodeo queen,
Miss Silver Spurs promotes the Silver Spurs Riding Club
through community events, speaking engagements and much
more. She will continue to promote the bi-annual rodeo
and other activities by providing educational facts about the
rodeo and agriculture way of life during her reign. To be a Miss Silver
Spurs contestant, the young ladies must resided in Osceola
County, ages range from 16-21, in good grades and standing
with current school or have a High School Diploma or GED.
Applications are available in September if you would like to
be a contestant.
