The Silver Spurs Club proudly honors Alice Ramsey as the 2025 Women's Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. A dedicated volunteer, loving mother and grandmother and a lifelong supporter of Osceola County’s agricultural and rodeo traditions, Alice’s life has been one of hard work, unwavering commitment and service.
A Lifelong Dedication to Rodeo and Community
Born in Kissimmee, Florida, in 1951, Alice grew up immersed in the cowboy way of life, learning the value of hard work from her father. Her connection to the Silver Spurs Rodeo began early, volunteering at just 12 years old in the south concession stands. Over the years, Alice has served on the Souvenir Committee and continues to lead the First Aid Committee, always exemplifying the heart of the Silver Spurs Club: volunteerism.
Alice’s remarkable career in radiology saw her as supervisor of St. Cloud Hospital's Radiology Department. Even while balancing a demanding job, Alice made time for her family and continued her service to the Silver Spurs Club, showing that dedication to career and community can go hand in hand.
A Legacy Carried Forward
Her son, Scott, inspired by Alice’s passion for the rodeo, pursued a career as a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) bullfighter and became a member of the Silver Spurs Club. The legacy didn’t stop there. Today, Alice’s grandson, Reyce, rides as part of the Silver Spurs Quadrille, proudly carrying the family’s rodeo traditions into the next generation.
Since retiring, Alice enjoys assisting on her son’s ranch, feeding livestock and helping with the family feed business. Her days are filled with the agricultural lifestyle she loves and cherished moments spent with her family.
Alice humbly accepts this award, but her contributions speak volumes. She embodies the values of dedication and community that the Silver Spurs Club celebrates. Congratulations, Alice, on a lifetime of incredible achievements and inspiration!
