Frequently asked questions

General questions

What does admission include?
Merchandise and concession food, drinks and beer are sold separately and are available around the arena concourse for an additional cost.

Your rodeo ticket covers same-day admission to watch the Silver Spurs Rodeo, Monster Bulls or Boots, Bulls and Barrels performance you purchased. It will guarantee you a seat in the arena, and unless the performance states that seating is general admission, your ticket will be assigned to a specific seat in the arena. All tickets are non-refundable unless we cancel the performance, then our events team will issue refunds.
What time do doors open?
Doors will open one hour before each rodeo performance time. For example, if the Silver Spurs Rodeo is set to begin at 7:30 p.m., doors will open at 6:30 p.m. However, if extreme weather occurs before the scheduled opening time, doors may open earlier to ensure attendees’ safety.
Is the arena indoor or outdoors?
The Silver Spurs Arena is an indoor, climate-controlled arena-style seating. Since it's indoors and if you get cold easily, we recommend you bring a light jacket.
Is there a charge for parking?
There is no cost to park onsite during the day or night of a performance. Handicap parking is limited but available near the front of the arena.
Where should I park if I am attending the February Rodeo?
Do you have food at the rodeo?
Yes, we have concession stands that sell hamburgers, hot dogs, pretzels, and other event food.

Beer and wine are also available for sale during each performance; please note that beer and wine stands only accept cash. ATMs are available on-site.
Are there any camera restrictions?
Yes. As the Silver Spurs Rodeo is a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) sanctioned event, certain photography and media guidelines attendees and media must adhere to.

Only PRCA card- or permit-holding photographers and credentialed media photographers may shoot photos on the rodeo grounds using a professional lens. Fans may take photos from the stands, but only with cell phones or small cameras with no extended or detachable lenses.

when do tickets go on sale?

Tickets go on sale a month before the rodeo. When you purchase your tickets through our website, you’ll be able to print the tickets from your computer. Before you leave your house, make sure that you bring them with you as that is what you’ll use to get to the front door. We require that all attendees have a ticket to enter the arena, including children. If your child is 10 and under, please print them a ticket as well.

Tickets

What ages require a ticket?
Attendees that are 4-years-old and older require a ticket. If you have children between 4 to 10-years-old, there is a specific ticket type available for purchase. For any attendee over 11-years-old and older, they will need to purchase either a Silver or Gold assigned seat ticket; unless if the performance notes that seating is General Admission. If that is the case, attendees only need to purchase a general adult ticket. Children three-years-old and under that can be held and don't require seating, don't need a ticket as long as they can sit on a lap.
Will the rodeo sell out?
We always encourage guests to buy their tickets in advance since all showings have the capability to sell out. We can never guarantee that tickets will be available prior to a show, so please plan ahead.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets go on sale a couple months before the rodeo. When you purchase your tickets through our website you can only buy 10 at a time. If you require more than 10 you will need to make another order. After the purchase (s) you’ll be able to print the tickets from your computer as that is what you’ll show at the arena doors to get in. Or, you can present the QR code for your tickets on your phone to enter the arena. We require that all attendees have a ticket to enter the arena. Kids 3 and under do not require a ticket as long as they are sitting on a lap.
What should I bring to get access to the rodeo?
Please bring a ticket for each person attending.

Tickets that are not accepted at the door: Wrong event, wrong day tickets are non-transferable, receipts, and tickets that are printed with no barcode.

If you print the tickets - make sure the barcodes are legible and each person has their own ticket upon arrival.
How will I receive my ticket?
If you are purchasing your ticket online, all tickets, the corresponding QR code and the receipt will be sent to the email you used at the time of purchase. If you're having trouble finding your tickets, please check your Spam folder or for emails from info@silverspursrodeo.com. If you still are unable to locate your tickets, please email info@silverspursrodeo.com
What time does the box office open?
The box office is open for night performances from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. For day performances, the box office is open from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Are tickets available at the door?
If tickets have not sold out online, our box office will sell the remaining best available seats between 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for night performances and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for day performances. Our team will do our best to find the seats you need, which means you won't be able to pick up your seats at the door. Since we cannot sell tickets over capacity, we highly recommend purchasing tickets online prior to the show to guarantee entry to the performance you'd like to attend.
Do you have any discounts?

If you are attending one of the performances in a party that is larger than 50 people, we offer a $10.00 discount. Can I add tickets to my group on the day of the show and still get the discount?

events & timings

What rodeo events take place during the Silver Spurs Rodeo?
During each Silver Spurs Rodeo performance, you’ll be able to see all seven traditional rodeo events: bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, and barrel racing.
What is the order of events during the Silver Spurs Rodeo?
Each performance of the rodeo starts with a performance from our Junior Silver Spurs Quardrille team, an opening ceremony, the pledge of allegiance and a prayer over the contestants and livestock. Afterward, the event starts with the first section of bull riding, steer wrestling, bareback riding, and then saddle bronc riding. In between the rodeo action, the famous Silver Spurs Quadrille will perform doing their well-known figure 8 in the middle of the arena. Once the team exits the arena, the rodeo-action continues with team roping and tie-down roping. Afterward, our rodeo clown takes center stage and performs an act that will bring tears to your eyes and have you slapping your knees. After a quick tractor run across the arena, Women's Barrel Racing will take place and our performance will end with a 2nd section of bull riding. Please note that the order of events may be subject to change the day of the event.
What is the difference between Monster Bulls and the Silver Spurs Rodeo?
While both Monster Bulls and the Silver Spurs Rodeo take place in February, these two performances are very different. Monster Bulls is a one-night-only event that features bull riding. There are three sections of bull riding where contestants from across the country try to hang on to some of the rankest (most skilled in rodeo terms) bulls the Silver Spurs Club has raised. Meanwhile, the Silver Spurs Rodeo will feature all of rodeo's traditional events: bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, tie-down roping, team roping, women's barrel racing and steer wrestling.
How long does each performance last?
Each performance lasts about two hours.
